【摘要】:1.1Thisguidecoverstheselectionanduseofproceduresfortestingwater-bornecoatingstobeusedonexterior,interiororbothtypesofsurfaces(Note1).Thepropertiesthatcanbeexaminedor,insomecases,therelevanttestproceduresarelistedinTable1andTable2.Note18212;Theterm"architecturalcoating"asusedherecombinesthedefinitioninTerminologyD16withthatintheFSCTPaint/CoatingsDictionary,asfollows:"Organiccoatingsintendedforon-siteapplicationtointeriororexteriorsurfacesofresidential,commercial,institutional,orindustrialbuildings,incontrasttoindustrialcoatings.Theyareprotectiveanddecorativefinishesappliedatambienttemperatures.OftencalledTradeSalesCoatings."Note28212;ArchitecturalcoatingsthataredesignedtogivebetterperformancethanmostconventionalcoatingsbecausetheyaretougherandmorestainandabrasionresistantarecoveredbyGuideD3730.1.2Thetypesoforganiccoatingscoveredbythisguideareasfollows:(1)Type1InteriorLatexFlatWallPaints,(2)Type2ExteriorLatexHousePaints,(3)Type3Water-BorneFloorPaints,and(4)Type4InteriorLatexSemiglossandGlossPaints.1.2.1Eachisintendedforapplicationbybrushing,rolling,sprayingorothermeanstothematerialappropriateforitstype,whichmayincludeplaster,masonry,wallboard,wood,steel,previouslypaintedsurfaces,andotherarchitecturalsubstrates.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
