【摘要】:ThetestprovidesafieldtesttoevaluatevisuallyafuelsampleforparticulatematterandfreewatersimilartoTestMethodD4176plusanumericalratingforfreewater.Highnumericalratingsindicatethatthefuelisrelativelyfreeoffreewater.ThedegreeofwaterandparticulatecontaminationcanbemeasuredusingothermethodssuchasTestMethodsD1744,D2276,andD2709.Thecolorofthesampledoesnotaffectthemeasurement.LimitedlaboratoryevaluationsofsampleshavedeterminedthedegreeoffreewatercanberatedinfuelswithdarkopaquecolorhavingadarkerratingthanfiveinTestMethodD1500.1.1Thistestmethodcoversarapid,portablemeansforfieldandlaboratoryusetoinspectvisuallyforparticulatematterandnumericallyratefreewaterinaviationturbineanddistillatefuels.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificwarningstatements,see11.2.3andAnnexA1.
