【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardestablishestheprinciplesfordescribingthequalityofgeographicdataandspecifiescomponentsforreportingqualityinformation.Italsoprovidesanapproachtoorganizinginformationaboutdataquality.ThisInternationalStandardisapplicabletodataproducersprovidingqualityinformationtodescribeandassesshowwelladatasetmeetsitsmappingoftheuniverseofdiscourseasspecifiedintheproductspecification,formalorimplied,andtodatausersattemptingtodeterminewhetherornotspecificgeographicdataisofsufficientqualityfortheirparticularapplication.ThisInternationalStandardshouldbeconsideredbyorganizationsinvolvedindataacquisitionandpurchase,insuchawaythatitmakesitpossibletofulfiltheintentionsoftheproductspecification.Itcanadditionallybeusedfordefiningapplicationschemasanddescribingqualityrequirements.Aswellasbeingapplicabletodigitalgeographicdata,theprinciplesofthisInternationalStandardcanbeextendedtoidentify,collectandreportthequalityinformationforageographicdataset,itsprinciplescanbeextendedandusedtoidentify,collectandreportqualityinformationforadatasetseriesorsmallergroupingsofdatathatareasubsetofadataset.AlthoughthisInternationalStandardisapplicabletodigitalgeographicdata,itsprinciplescanbeextendedtomanyotherformsofgeographicdatasuchasmaps,chartsandtextualdocuments.ThisInternationalStandarddoesnotattempttodefineaminimumacceptablelevelofqualityforgeographicdata.
