【摘要】:Thesolubilityofglassincontactwithfood,beverages,orpharmaceuticalproductsisanimportantconsiderationforthesafepackagingandstorageofsuchmaterials.Autoclaveconditionsarespecifiedsincesterilizationisoftenemployedforthepackagingoftheproduct.Italsorepresentsoneofthemostextremeconditions,particularlyoftemperature,thatcontainerswillordinarilyexperience.Anyofthethreetestmethodsdescribedmaybeusedtoestablishspecificationsforconformitytostandardvalues,eitherasspecifiedbyacustomer,anagency,orx201C;TheUnitedStatesPharmacopeia:x201D;3.1.1TestMethodB-AisintendedparticularlyfortestingglasscontainersprimarilydestinedforcontainmentofproductswithapHunder5.3.1.2TestMethodB-WisintendedparticularlyfortestingglasscontainerstobeusedforproductswithapHof5.0orover.3.1.3TestMethodP-Wisahydrolyticautoclavetestprimarilyintendedforevaluatingsamplesfromuntreatedglasscontainers.ItisoftenusefulfortestingtheresistanceofcontainersoftoosmallcapacitytopermitmeasurementsofsolubilityontheunbrokenarticlebytheB-Wtestmethod.Yieldingthewaterresistanceofthebulkglass,itcanalsobeusedinconjunctionwiththeB-Wtestmethodtodistinguishwhethertheinternalsurfaceofacontainerhasbeentreatedtoimproveitsdurability.Allthreetestmethodsaresuitableforspecificationacceptance.1.1Thesetestmethodscovertheevaluationoftheresistanceofglasscontainerstochemicalattack.Threetestmethodsarepresented,asfollows:1.1.1TestMethodB-Acoversautoclavetestsat121176Conbottlespartiallyfilledwithdiluteacidastheattackingmedium.1.1.2TestMethodB-Wcoversautoclavetestsat121176Conbottlespartiallyfilledwithdistilledwaterastheattackingmedium.1.1.3TestMethodP-Wcoversautoclavetestsat121176Conpowderedsampleswithpurewaterastheattackingmedium.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesinparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
